Chelsea have rejected a bid for Brazil star winger Willian in excess from £50m (R900m) as the race for his signature heats up.

Willian, 29, is said to be keen on ending his five-year stay in London after falling out of favour with manager Antonio Conte last season.

Despite being a firm fan-favourite at Stamford Bridge, the tricky winger has been subject of interest from Manchester United, with Jose Mourinho openly revealing his admiration for his former player.

Meanwhile Spanish Radio programme 'El Partidazo de Cope' reported that the Blaugrana have admitted their interest in signing the Chelsea star.

Sky Sports further revealed that the Blaugrana saw an official opening bid Willian rejected by the Blues with Conte's future uncertain at the moment.

Willian made 55 appearances in all competitions for Chelsea last season, scoring 13 goals.
