Bloemfontein Celtic coach Veselin Jelusic's future in the City of Roses is uncertain amid reports he is owed money by the club.
Jelusic has allegedly not been paid his full salary in the last two months, and could be on his way out if the matter is not settled timeously.
Phunya Sele Sele's players went on strike before the end of the past season due to alleged unpaid salaries and signing-on fees.
According to a source close to Celtic, the club is doing everything in its power to pay Jelusic in full before the end of June in a bid to keep him for next season.
"The situation is too bad," says the informant.
"The coach has managed to keep the fires burning despite not being fully paid his salaries the past two months.
"He is still our coach but it could not come as a surprise if he resigns due to the circumstances."
This comes after Sunday Times newspaper revealed that Celtic boss Max Tshabalala is ready to sell the club, as he is struggling financially. According to the article, a group of Gauteng businessmen are prepared to buy the club.
"It doesn't help me that I keep the team when I am struggling financially. I'm not going to deny that it is difficult now. Running the club is affecting my company income," Tshabalala said in the article.
Celtic CEO Khumbulani Konco could not be reached for comment despite numerous attempts.
