Downs lead race to sign Jali

Posted: 26 March 2018 Time: 14:05 has been informed that Mamelodi Sundowns are leading the race to sign midfielder Andile Jali.

The Bafana Bafana midfielder has already announced that will return to the country when his contract with Belgian side KV Oostende expires at the end of the season

.Jali, who has also attracted interest from clubs in Sweden and France, has been linked with a move to his former club Orlando Pirates, while Kaizer Chiefs and SuperSport United are said to be keeping a close eye on the matter.

According to a source close to Jali's representatives, Sundowns has put up an offer that is difficult to resist.

"Pirates and Sundowns are interested. As it stands now Sundowns are pushing and want to close the deal as soon as possible,” said the source.

"Pirates cannot be ruled out but strong indications are that will sign with Sundowns,” he added.

Because he is in the last six months of his contract, Jali is free to talk to any club regarding a move for next season.

Sundowns’ spokesperson Thulani Thuswa was not available for comment.
