Orlando Pirates have received a boost to their aspirations of winning both the league and Nedbank Cup after Zambian striker Augustine Mulenga arrived in the country yesterday.
Mulenga signed three-year contract with Pirates last week but his arrival at Mayfair was delayed by personal issues that required attention in Lusaka.
Bucs administrative manager Floyd Mbele has confirmed Mulenga is in their camp.
"Yes, it's true he is in the country. That's all I could say," said Mbele.
Mulenga, the reigning Zambian Footballer of the Year, was recruited from Zanaco in January.
The 28-year-old netted three times for Chipolopolo in their run to the 2018 CHAN quarter-finals in Morocco.
His compatriot and fellow forward Justin Shonga linked up with the Buccaneers in the off-season.
Pirates, who advanced to the Nedbank Cup last-16 with a 2-0 victory over Ajax Cape Town in Soweto on the weekend, are second on the Premiership standings, five points behind Mamelodi Sundowns.
Milutin Sredojevic's men will resume their league campaign against mid-table Chippa United at Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium on February 25.
