Tau: We knew they were going to break

Mamelodi Sundowns forward Percy Tau says they had to bide their time before asserting themselves in the win over Cape Town All Stars on Friday night.

Tau scored the all important goal to hand the Brazilians a 1-0 win over the National First Division side, while he also named Man of the Match as they progressed to the last 16.
“It was difficult. They played very well but we knew when we get a chance, we were going to take it. We just had to keep it a bit longer so I guess it was the plan,” Tau told SuperSport TV.
“We knew in the second half they were going to break because we have a bit of experience. We know how to play these games, we played a lot of NFD sides in friendlies in the past. We knew in the second half around 60 [minutes] we were going to get something there.
“We are happy we have progressed, now we are looking forward to the next game and hopefully we will get to the final.”
