Komphela vs Mosimane rivalry

Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns have a long-standing rivalry, dating back to the inception of the National Soccer League in 1985.
Over the past 32 years, the two sides have clashed in 65 league meetings, with the Phefeni Glamour Boys boasting a 27-20 win advantage, while 18 fixtures have ended in a stalemate.
However, the rivalry has since reached new heights in recent years, with two local coaches in Steve Komphela and Pitso Mosimane coming head-to-head.
While Mosimane has been at the helm of Sundowns longer - since December 2012, Komphela's arrival at Chiefs in 2015 has seen the two astute tacticians add that much more 'sauce' to this encounter.
In five Absa Premiership meetings since the start of the 2015/16 season, Komphela and Mosimane have both won twice, with just one contest ending in a goalless draw - that being their first league clash on 9 January 2016 at FNB Stadium.
Prior to that, The Brazilians thrashed Amakhosi 3-1 in the Telkom Knockout final in December 2015 - coincidentally Komphela's last cup final appearance with Chiefs.
'Jingles' then strung back-to-back wins together in April and November 2016 - 3-1 and then 2-1 - both of which came at Loftus Versfeld Stadium.
However, 'Bra Steve' has since enjoyed dominance in this fixture, seeing off Sundowns in their two encounters in April and October 2017 - 2-1 at home and 2-1 away.
Now, this weekend is potentially their last time coming head-to-head in Chiefs and Sundowns colours respectively, as Komphela's contract is set to run out in June.
Could this Saturday be the ultimate decider between who the better coach is at the helm of South Africa's top clubs, or will they meet again in future?
Kick-off at the FNB Stadium on Saturday evening is scheduled for 20h15.
