Jelusic expects Celtic response

Bloemfontein Celtic coach Veselin Jelusic expects a response from his men tonight against Bidvest Wits following the 4-0 loss at Maritzburg United a week ago.

Celtic, who have slipped to mid-table, will visit the relegation-threatened champions at Bidvest Stadium, with kick-off set for 20h00.

"Wits have their own predicaments but are gradually getting better and our defeat at the hands of Maritzburg United last weekend somehow dented the spirit. But after a few sessions there was a bit of progress in terms of preparations for our next game,” Jelusic told the club's website.

"It won’t be easy playing away but the focus is on dealing with the keenness of players, reviving the zeal to win and eventually regaining confidence before Friday. Fortunately we have a dedicated team that is willing to fight with passion till the season ends.

"Our priority is to maximise our performances and trying to win as many points as we can. Ultimately our mission for this season must be completed appropriately and there is no doubt that my team will show hunger and determination against Wits,” concluded the Serbian.

Phunya Sele Sele are ninth on the Premiership table with 23 points from 16 games - eight points ahead of 15th-placed Wits, who have played an extra match.
