Maritzburg United have made their first signing of 2018 by bringing in Bidvest Wits defender Bokang Tlhone.
Tlhone has joined United on a three-year deal, having struggled for game-time since moving to Wits in July last year from Free State Stars.
Thlone's manager Machini Motloung has confirmed his client's move to the Team of Choice.
"Yes, it's true Tlhone has moved to join Maritzburg United," said Motloung.
"I can't reveal more details. I am sure both clubs will make an official announcement soon."
Wits are looking to free up space, having just signed midfielder Edwin Gyimah and striker Lehlohonolo Majoro, and penned pre-contracts with Thobani Mncwango, Robyn Johannes and Denis Weidlich for next season.
Veteran playmaker Steven Pienaar and Montenegrin defender Slavko Damjanovic have reportedly parted ways with the Clever Boys after just six months at Milpark.
