Free State Stars have been boosted by the return to training of fullback Nyiko Mobbie, but Makhehlene Makhaula, Sifiso Mbhele and new signing Oliver Kwizera remain on the sidelines.

Makhaula is due back in three weeks from an ankle injury and Mbhele is close to shaking off a thigh problem sustained in training, while off-season recruit Kwizera faces a further two months out as he recovers from knee surgery.

Stars released an injury update on their website, which reads: 'Midfielder Makhehlene Makhaula remains on the sidelines with an ankle injury but is expected to return within three weeks after undergoing his rehabilitation fitness programme.

'In-demand fullback Nyiko Mobbie who’s impressed this season has returned to full training and provides a welcome return for Eymael.

'Sifiso Mbhele is also set for an imminent return after a blow to the thigh in training but off-season recruit Oliver Kwizera remains a long-term absentee.

'The 22-year-old Rwanda international goalkeeper has yet to make his debut for the club and is expected to return to training in two months after undergoing knee surgery.'

Luc Eymael's side, in 10th place on the Premiership table with 11 points from nine games, next host Chippa United at Goble Park on November 22.
