Chabalala back at Bucs

Posted: 16 July 2017 Time: 03:04 pm can reveal that Orlando Pirates have recalled defender Justice Chabalala from Chippa United.

Chabalala spent six months on loan at the Chilli Boys in a deal that saw defender James Okwuosa moving in the opposite direction on a permanent deal.

The Limpopo born defender joined Bucs for pre-season training in Johannesburg this weekend after meeting with the club boss Dr Irvin Khoza last week.

According to a source close to Bucs, the Soweto giants are set to release the names of players leaving the club with Brighton Mhlongo expected to be one of the high profile casualties.

"Chabalala is back at Pirates. He is definitely staying," said the source.

"The club will be releasing the names of players for transfer probably this week with two big names amongst the list."

Pirates have already signed goalkeeper Wayne Sandilands, midfielder Thamsanqa Sangweni and Nigerian striker Christian Obiozor to strengthen their squad.
