Kunene back at Dikwena

Platinum Stars have recalled striker Thobani Kunene from National First Division side Real Kings.
Dikwena initially signed Kunene ahead of 2016/17 from Kings after he plundered 23 goals in the ABC Motsepe League and NFD Play-Offs in Bloemfontein last year.
At the Phokeng-based club, he played in three league matches in the first half of the season and netted in a draw with Orlando Pirates in September 2016.
He then returned to Kings in January this year and scored four times in 14 league appearances as Simo Dladla's side finished 11th on the log in their debut season in the NFD.
Kings CEO Philani Majola says Kunene's loan deal has expired, but he retains hope the player could yet come back if he fails to win over new Dikwena coach Peter Butler.
"Yes, Kunene has returned to Platinum Stars," Majola tells KickOff.com.
"We have to be grateful that his contribution was actually excellent at Kings. If they don't have plans for him again we will still want to keep him for next season."
Stars, who finished ninth last term after coming third the season before, may have a greater need for Kunene following the departures of fellow forwards Henrico Botes and Ndumiso Mabena. Physical hitman Bongi Ntuli's future also remains unclear as Stars continue negotiations with Mamelodi Sundowns to make his stay permanent in Phokeng following stints on loan.
