The former Kaizer Chiefs left-back only joined the Chilli Boys in July last year but by October he was already looking for a move away from the club.

"If you recall before the start of the season, the coach [Dan Malesela] told everyone that he is fully covered in every position. I wonder what changed?" Mtsweni tells

"It's me who asked for a clearance - I wasn't released. If I was released then Chippa should pay me. The only thing that didn't make me happy at the club was my lack of game time. It's the coach who turned against me, well I understand not everyone will love me because I'm not money.

"I asked for my clearance since October. I have my papers with me, my clearance is here with me. I kept on telling them I won't leave without my papers and they gave them to me.

"As a player if you are not adding any value to a team you should go. I felt like my efforts were not appreciated at Chippa. But besides everything, I was happy to be a Chippa player it's just that I wasn't in the coach's plans."

Speaking from his home town of Secunda in Mpumalanga, Mtsweni says he's been receiving lot of phone calls  from teams offering him contracts since he parted ways with Chippa.

"There are three or four teams that have contacted me already, three in the PSL and one in the NFD," he said.
