South Africa drew 2-2 with Nigeria in their final Afcon Group A qualifier on Wednesday night.

FT: Bafana are denied a historic win over Nigeria but go unbeaten as Group A winners, with Congo - who beat Sudan 1-0 in a simultaneous fixture - also qualifying. Nigeria, the Afcon holders, fail to make the cut.

94' - NIGERIA GOAL! Aluko beats Keet with a powerful shot with his weaker right foot! Nigeria 2-2 SA.

82' - Sekola is receiving treatment.

80' - Bafana have 10 minutes to hold out to record a first ever competitive win over the Super Eagles. Nigeria 1-2 SA.

77' -  YELLOW CARD for Nigeria: Egwuekwe is cautioned for chopping down Rantie at full pace. Nigeria 1-2 SA.

75' - SUB for Nigeria: Samuel (ON) for Omeruo (OFF). Nigeria 1-2 SA.

74' - Musa's cross from the left is a touch too strong for Emeneke in the area. Nigeria 1-2 SA.

71' - RED CARD: Bafana down to 10 men! Yeye is sent off after receiving a second caution. Nigeria 1-2 SA.

71' - SUB for Bafana sub: Jali (ON) replaces Masango (OFF).

70' - Mikel tumbles in the box under a challenge from Furman. No penalty given.

68' - NIGERIA GOAL! The sub Aluko taps in on the rebound after Uche's strike hit the post! Nigeria 1-2 SA.

65' -  Nigeria pressing in desperation as their Afcon hopes take strain. Bafana defending resolutely.

64' - YELLOW CARD: Mathoho is cautioned for a tug on a Nigerian jersey.

63' - Nigerian sub Aluko squeezes a shot wide on the run. Nigeria 0-2 SA.

59' - Keet drops down smartly to scoop up a header from Emenike.

55' - Keet and Mathoho collide under an aerial ball into the box. Both look likely to continue.

54' - Keet collects a cross from the left by Emenike with authority.

52' - Rantie is receiving attention on the sidelines after taking a knock to the head. Nigeria 0-2 SA.

HT: Nigeria 0-1 (Rantie 42') South Africa. Keet impressed in goal, while Rantie delivered a sucker punch.

45' - There will be two minutes of optional time. Nigeria 0-1 SA.

44' - Rantie has his critics, but the man is direct. Nigeria will really have to go for it now. Nigeria 0-1 SA.

42' - BAFANA GOAL! Rantie finishes with conviction from a tight angle after bursting into the box! Nigeria 0-1 SA.

41' - Yeye squanders possession on the edge of the box with a misplaced chip over the top. Nigeria 0-0 SA.

23' - YELLOW: Letsholonyane is shown the first yellow card for a studs-up tackle on Lawal.

22' - Keet's fine as the action resumes, with the Super Eagles currently in the ascendancy.

21' - Keet has picked up a knock and is receiving some medical attention.

19' - Overlapping fullback Khumalo is unable to find a Bafana teammate with a cross from the left.

17' - Keet denies Musa in another one-on-one! The Nigerian attacker is finding space at ease.

16' - Keet denies Musa in a one-on-one situation!

13' - Nigeria 0-0 SA. Open contest to date, with action at either end. We look good for some goals here.

8' - Furman is caught in possession, as Musa bursts through on goal and thunders a strike against the crossbar!

4' - Rantie selfishly goes for goal without reward following a defensive error when he should have teed up the perfectly placed Erasmus in the box.

1' - Bafana, in all white, get us underway against Nigeria.
