Acelli pump R3 million into Dikwena

Platinum Stars have revealed that their new technical sponsors Acelli are pumping R3 million into the club over the next three years.

Acelli replace Umbro, who had been part of Dikwena for the past few seasons, and club chairman Ratanang Nke is delighted with the deal.

"There has been a culture of not being transparent in football in South Africa and as Platinum Stars we want to break that culture and announce the value of our sponsorship with Kevro Sport [Acelli]," Nke tells KickOff.com.

"The sponsorship is to the tune of R3 million over three years. As [Stars managing director] Martin Ferreira says, we will increase the sponsorship should we win something this season."

Mogakolodi Ngele just signed for Sundowns but will remain with P Stars until end of the Season...I had no problem in Sundowns signing Players, but the way they are doing business, its going to destroy the Fairness of the game. Already how many Players did they sign and loaned out? Those Players wont be eligible to play against Sundowns, Where is the fairness in that? Its a way of crippling your opponent before playing them. It is good having all the cash, but crippling other Teams before playing them is not fair.

Eish don't remind me bhakaniya! I have the utmost respect for this team but they've lost a lot of quality players, I'm afraid they'll find the going a beat tough this season. Dankie bhakabhaka this season s'dala inyakanyaka. #UTB...

Its obvious they want to defend their league title. Remember they have over 80 players now deployed on PSL teams. All those players will not play against them. Unfair advantage, let them remove that clause they will here with all of us in this mother earth. motsepe and his cronies are busy distroying the little that was left I SA. I hope Shakes will start to use the Naturalised ones for Bafana Bafana. We are going the route of the French National Team where there was not a single French citizen only naturalized ones. I like the kit, but which one is a home kit. BTW, Acelli is an Italian company. R1 million a year is too little but is better than nothing.

Pirates and Chiefs get R500m for the next 10 years from Vodacom, and with Motsepe's billions these small teams have little no chance of keeping their best players. But having said that, you don't see them losing 5-0 on a weekly basis and that's what I like about Super Diski, very unpredictable a bit like the EPL. But what Sundowns is doing is actually against the spirit of competition. The have strong delegates in every team and they are forbidden from playing against them. I don't have a problem with them buying all the good players as this is a free market but SAFA should just put in new rules to regulate the anti-competitive antics that Sundowns are practicing. The way things are going, Sundowns will canter to the league title.

Pep Guardiola Bucselona  Point of correction.  The R500m for each of Chiefs and Pirates is for 5 years not 10.  R100m per season and some mogooes want to us to believe that Chiefs is broke

Pep Guardiola Bucselona This topic has got absa-lutely FOKOL to do with Downs but Stars. Did you miss that part?
And FYI, Sundowns is not here to play second fiddle to anyone, it is not here to nurse people's egos, bruises or emotions. If you're getting all emotional because of what they are doing, then tough luck. There is no law or rule against what they are doing, this thing has been happening for over 10yrs now, please get on with the program. Crying over it over and over and over again, year in and year out, will not help you in anyway. It's about time you accept it and move the hell on.
Sundowns is a business entity as well as being a football club. Chiefs and Pirates are getting R100mill each yearly to do as they please with that money, no one stops then from using Sundowns' strategy which is ofcos ABOVE BOARD!!
No one dictates to you what you should or should not do with your salary so I don't see why Sundowns has to be told how to spend THEIR money, (emphasis on the word "their").
I have said this before and I am gona say it again, Sundowns isn't here to nurse people's feelings. Whether it "kills' competition or not (your opinion by the way) it dont matter. What matters is, they are using their financial muscle to acquire whatever ammunition they deem necessary for them. Whether this kills competition is neither here nor there.
If at all these teams that allow the players to be bought and loaned to them were being forced, if at all these players were being forced to signed for Downs, then believe me chief, I would be the first to say this is not fair play. But guess what? No one is forcing anyone. From the R100mil that Pirates is getting yearly, what stops them from playing the same ball as Downs? Absolutely NOTHING stops them.
Money has NEVER forced anyone to do anything. Money gives you AN ALTERNATIVE, it gives you ANOTHER PERSPECTIVE, it gives you this little thing we like to call CHOICE. Mathoho said NO to money and chose game time, what stops any other player from doing the same?
Pirates doesn't subscribe to loaning players from Downs because of this strategy and mostly because they have enough money to buy whomever they choose. All these other 14teams (including Chiefs), they do loan players from Downs. If this was wrong, these teams wouldn't be continuing doing business with Sundowns. I mean if I pay over 60% towards the salary of a player that you want me to loan to you, you damn right I will impose conditions such as the player not being eligible to play against me. It's upto you to agree to the terms or pass, no one is forcing you!! I PAUSE!!
(Excuse the long essay....I just needed to put my point across)

MlamliTshaka Pep Guardiola Bucselona  it depends on your requirements for sponsors to invest in your team pirates and chiefs are being audited u can take it from their spending when it comes to players signing  some will call us freebie teams mind u we are audited as pirates being active in the market its mainly due to wat they achieved last season we sell some and buy some  interms of revenue we got paid wisely by  participation in caf champions lig
