Match preview: Sundowns vs Chiefs

Mamelodi Sundowns and Kaizer Chiefs will meet for a high-profile Premiership clash at Loftus Stadium as the League kicks off again tomorrow.

The match is at Loftus Stadium at 7.30pm.

Sundowns are unbeaten in their last seven League matches and ended 2012 with a 1-1 draw away to Chippa United.

The Tshwane team will be looking to improve on an away record which has seen them claim just two wins from seven matches.

The Brazilians are a lowly 10th on the Premiership log with 18 points from 16 matches.

Chiefs are unbeaten in their last four League matches and ended 2012 with a 2-0 home win over bottom-of-the-log AmaZulu.

The Soweto giants have a good away record this season, with three wins, three draws and just one loss from seven matches.

Amakhosi are first on the Premiership log with 35 points from 16 matches.

In head-to-head stats, Sundowns and Chiefs have met in 55 League matches since 1985.

Amakhosi have claimed 23 wins compared to 17 for the Brazilians, while 15 matches have ended in draws.

Downs have a good home record against Chiefs, with 13 wins and just seven losses from 27 matches.

When the teams met earlier this season, the Soweto side came out on top on home soil, claiming a 2-1 win thanks to goals from Siyabonga Nkosi and Kingston Nkhatha, with Itumeleng Khune scoring an own-goal.

I watched 4 players who were at Afcon but playing for their respective teams over the weekend in England.
Kagiso Dikgacoi for Crystal Palace,
Emmanuel Adebayor for Tottenham Hotspurs,
Cheick Tiote for Newcastle United and
Yaya Toure for Manchester City.

They all had terrible games. They were shocking..!!!
