In spite of the uncertainty surrounding the resumption of the Nigeria Premier League, the 'Oluyole Warriors' have moved into a closed camp at Ijebu Ode were they commenced training yesterday at the Dipo Dina Stadium.
The Oyo State-owned club are expected to play friendly matches against the likes of FC Ebedei, NPL rivals Kwara United, Ijebu-Ode All Stars and a host of other local clubs to keep their players fit ahead of the new season which is expected to kick off later this month.
Shooting Stars defeated ABS FC in a two-legged match played a few weeks ago, and will want to ensure that their newly signed players like Azeez Shobowale and Gbolahan Salami, who were snapped up from Dolphins and Enyimba respectively, blend in quickly with the rest of the team.
Players have taken time out to celebrate with their teammate Mutiu Adegoke, who turned 29 today. The goalscoring defender's free-kicks were instrumental to 3SC's relegation survival last season.
