RDS: Kalaba interests everyone

Posted: 31 January 2013 Time: 02:44 pm

The January transfer window will shut at 17h00, but Orlando Pirates coach Roger de Sa is keeping his phone on hoping he will get a call from the office confirming a couple of deals.

De Sa is currently at Fons Luminis Secondary School in Diepkloof for a soccer coaching clinic, but his mind is also back in the office in Parktown.

"As far as I know nothing has happened but we do have a couple of possibilities," he tells KickOff.com.

Rumour has it that the TP Mazembe boss was spotted in Parktown today, which suggests the two clubs may do a deal for Rainford Kalaba. De Sa admits his interest in the player.

"Kalaba is one of the players that have been spoken about at Pirates for a long, long time," he says.

"He is a quality player and I'm sure we are not the only club that would like to have him," De Sa adds.

Pirates have also been linked with Ghanaian international defender Mohammed Awal, but Maritzburg United insisted recently that he is not going anywhere, at least for now.

@The Phefeni Boy....Depends on one's understanding of the word reject, yes he might be just like many players currently doing duty for several top PSL sides and did so well to the point that they are now hailed as superstars, but i guess it is a very thin line hey,it all depends on who is favored by the odds.

If the rumour is true, then he will sign and Chimpanzees' heart will be broken. But even if he does not sign with us, we have galaxy of stars, anyway he will have to fight for position in a galaxy of stars team. At Kaizer chimpanzees even small boys from celtic who won nothing, they never lifted a trophy but they walk straight to the starting 11 and even boast that they want to sign for the chimpanzees for game time.

The golden , important, protected and biggest team in south africa is currently using africa's biggest stadium( National stadium formerly knwn as 'soccer-city') as its home ground ,so the business-minded Kaizer Snr reported that when he build a stadium at krugersdorp it has to be twice the capacity of Orlando stadium since chiefs supporters are thrice pirats supporters. Therefor the stadium will cost around R3.5 billion so don't rush we don't wana build a stadium that is next to traffic department and surrounded by pakistan and indian shops like orlando stadium.

Absolutely My Champ.... never mind being disappointed, I've been extremely hurt by some of us who I held in high esteem....

They have relegated themselves to the bottomless pit of sub-standards..... I dont know how they're gonna work their way up in the books of The Ghost...

On the fixture,..
We are in for a festival of football ko Orlando...
