Khuboni admitted earlier this month that he wants to leave Golden Arrows for a new challenge, with The Brazilians believed to be his most likely destination. Kaizer Chiefs are also reported to be interested in signing the 26-year-old, whose contract expires in June.
But his agent, Paschalis Tountouris, admits Khuboni could decide to head to Europe instead if there is no offer to leave this month.
“I know there is interest from two or three big clubs in South Africa, but I can also confirm that there is also interest from a German club,” he tells KickOff.com.
“I think he needs a new challenge for his career because he has been at Golden Arrows for a long time and has developed his game through the years. If we can’t do a deal in January then he will be definitely moving to Europe at the end of the season.”
Khuboni was in the Bafana Bafana squad for the 2010 World Cup and was a regular under Pitso Mosimane, but he was ignored by Gordon Igesund for the African Nations Cup.
