The former darling of the Pirates faithful was recently unattached following a fallout with Leopards last year.
Swaziland’s Malanti Chiefs confirmed the move when owner Dumisani Gumede said Vilakazi is set to arrive before the end of the week for an assessment by coach Kenny Ndlazi.
Vilakazi has been quoted in the Swaziland media as saying that the club are engaging with his agent.
‘Tso’ said that should the deal be satisfactory then he would not have a problem going to Swaziland.
Vilakazi, who also turned out for Mpumalanga Black Aces, has been recommended to Malanti Chiefs by their coach Kenny Ndlazi.
At Malanti Chiefs, Vilakazi will team up with fellow South Africans Vusi Madinane, Sihle Ndaba and Tebogo Mogale. He will also join ex-Black Leopards winger Wonder ‘Samba Jive’ Nhleko.
