The 23-year-old striker arrived at the Cape side for a trial recently and KickOff.com can now confirm that he has done enough to get a deal with the PSL rookies.
“We are still busy negotiating with him … If we agree terms, he will join the club,” spokesperson Lukhanyo Mzinzi confirms.
Petersen, who is the son of former Moroka Swallows striker Calvin Petersen, could be a Chippa player before the end of the week.
It has been a frustrating transfer period for Chippa, who have so far failed in bids for Mark Mayambela, Erwin Isaacs and Abia Nale, and also look set to miss out on OJ Mabizela.
