Algeria coach Vahid Halilhodzic has named a 24-man squad for the Africa Cup of Nations.

The north Africans, who have been paired in Group D alongside Tunisia, Togo and Ivory Coast, will have to be cut by one before the tournament starts.

Halilhodzic has called up uncapped French-born defender Faouzi Ghoulam, but there is no place for Olympiakos striker Rafik Djebbour, former captain Madjid Bougherra, or Parma striker Ishak Belfodil, who recently changed his nationality to be eligible for Fennec Foxes.

Nine of the 24-man squad featured during the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.
