Rusike: Goal good for me

Posted: 19 December 2012 Time: 09:36 am

Kaizer Chiefs forward Matthew Rusike says his first goal for the club has done him a lot of good in terms of confidence.

The former Jomo Cosmos marksman has for the better part of the season clearly been fourth in the pecking order behind Bernard Parker, Lehlohonolo Majoro and Kingston Nkhatha, but he got his second League start on Tuesday against Amazulu and found the back of the net – his first official goal for Amakhosi.

CLICK HERE for the Chiefs v AmaZulu match report.

Rusike reacts: “Getting a goal is good for me, good for my confidence. I have been understudying for Bernard [Parker], it’s been ages so it gave me a chance to get in there…

“We bounced back well [from the draw against University of Pretoria] and I’m happy for the guys… We are happy with the performance.”

The 22-year-old further highlights the quality at Chiefs’ disposal after Parker came off the bench to score a second on the night.

“He [Parker] also gets in and does the job. So actually you can see we’ve got 25 players who can do the job week in and week out,” he adds.

Which World Cup did New Zealand win??? If you are referring to the IRB world Cup, New Zealand has no South African born player in it. Below is the List of the would cup winning players of No New Zealand Origin, namely:

1. Mils Muliaina ( Samoa), - Fullback, Centre, Wing
2. Ben Franks (Australia) - Prop
3. Jerome Kaino (Samoa) - Flanker, No. 8
4. Isaia Toeava ( Samoa) - Fullback, Centre, Wing
