Chinyama back, Benni and Okonkwo out

Posted: 19 December 2012 Time: 07:03 am

Orlando Pirates are likely to use striker Takesure Chinyama when they face Golden Arrows in a League game at Moses Mabhida Stadium tonight.

Chinyama has been out of action for the past few weeks due to an ankle injury but has since recovered and is part of the squad that has travelled to KwaZulu-Natal.

CLICK HERE for more on Orlando Pirates.

However bad news for Pirates is that both Benni McCarthy and Onyekachi Okonkwo have been ruled out of the match due to injuries.

Pirates are second on the League table with 31 points from 15 games. Kaizer Chiefs are top with 35 points.

Roger won nedbank cup with wits and has lost only two games (a cup, and league game against celtic) since he took over and his team is in 2nd position with only 4pts away from log leaders with game in hand. I dont view that as failure

Judging by current form Arrows should easily win against Chibuku FC at home but alas, for reasons known to everybody in the football fraternity this will not happen.

Chibuku will as usual play their normal DOOM DOOM football and come away with a win. The Hawks must start investigating this corruption. It must be demoralising for a coach to be told by the owner to deliberately lose certain matches. Anyway, with their free 6 points bonanza Chibuku FC stands no chance against the Mighty Amakhosi. Worry not My Champ Kalaba is already in the bag... but with the AFCON distraction we likely to see him in The famous kit come July/ August...

As for Serero i still have tears in my eyes for that boy...

When we released Teko we were onthe brink of signing him but Ajax Amsterdam pulled out the 1st option clause they have with A. Cape Town then we lost that player... & now they have tied him down with a 5 year contract whilst he's rotting in Amsterdam.... that too would be an excellent signing....

@CJB Ramses and @Pep Guardiola - Bucselona Strategist

My Champs for me the list reads as follows :

* Aubrey Ngoma
* Kharma Billiat
* Rainford Kalaba
* Ryan Chapman(ofcourse after making an official apology to The Bucs) and Jayiya both from Wits

Reason being,we need those quick,mobile and clinical finishers.
Along with that the team needs some youth and exuberance.
We need to be building for the next five years or so,our players need to understand the philosophy,aspirations and history of our team.
This type of spirit has to passed on from generation to generation.
Our team has an identity,all our players have to embody those values

Ma Buccaneers calm down RDS knows what he is doing,even Screamer is in support of this decision...i wish you could be in Pirates training session to note the behaviour of Okonkwo...he does not only have disrespect of his coach and his teammates but a Team Manager as well....ask me i know the issue of Okonkwo at Pirates.....he needs to decide whether he wants to be a player or a coach.....as for McCarthy RDS is just preparing his team without a Chiefs player thats all....he has decided on his fate and went on to agree to join Chiefs so lets play committed and loyal players thats wants the best for our team...big up to RDS and Bab u Screamer.....Mhlongo was on the bench for nearly a season,he never opened his mouth nor challenge the coach to play him...to me thats a true professional...when the midgets are playing well there is no need to change a winning team!!!!!!

I'm with you My Champ... You make a valid point there about injection of youth and 5 year planning & beyond...

Ngomo is already our player...

Kalaba is coming...

As for Chapman, sorry My Champ... I don't see anything there that says Championship material...

As for Jayiya & Billiat... ok I hear you but I don't think those players have balls... they are not man enough - they have to man-up big-time...

Most importantly I'm looking for players that give us a tough time when we play against them...

I also need a deputizer for Siya... Im thinking Mr Cool Thabo Nthete...

My Champ,a lot of these players are failing to grasp the lesson about Pirates.
You don't betray Pirates and have things go well for you,
We are the instituion of football in Mzansi,idlozi leBhakaniya lehlezi likubhekile

That's ok if you have the inside story & what you're saying is true ..

we just don't want our intelligence insulted...

If Benni wants to be a Chimp that ok.... we don't "need" any player at The Dream Team & the ship this season has sailed well without his contribution...

frankly I got disgusted with Benni when I saw him chilling with Bobby and I had a little twitter war with him on that matter...

As for Okonkwo he does deserve to voice his opinion as the young Bibo can get lost & irratic in the midfield only for Okonkwo to come on & calm the midfield....

Thabo Nthethe is a good player and a great leader,he possess some of the qualities that are key to be regarded as a Buccaneer........
Even though Chapman disrespected The Ghost,he's got the right kind of spirit.....
He's a vandal and loose cannon of note......
His positioning,runs and finishing are superb.....
Reminds me of a lot of soccer greats,the Eric Cantona's,Maradona's,Ballotelli's,Michel Platini's and konje what's the name of that coloured guy that was a former Madrid player that ended playing for The Ghost? Uyamukhumbula?

@ CJB Ramses

I'm not denying the qualities Okonkwo possesses,infact he is a quality player but he must respect the working environement...How many MOM's awards Bibo has accumulated since being given a chance? and how many games we have lost so far with Bibo in the team,the same player who hasnt been playing for a while...if we can agree on one thing Buccaneer that i find RDS is constantly doing wrong is to select Moholo ahead of Tico...that could be detrimental to the Nigerian but it does not justify his behaviour...I hate to say Moholo is not a Pirates material...

And here I am trying to think what could Benni add to our team (Khosi)..........
Can the coach put Benni ahead of the in-form Bernard or Majoro?......No man

I would really like to know what the reason behind the signing of McCarthy at Chiefs coz we really are doing so fine in the striking department without him and we have Nkatha /Ngcobo and the youngsters Myhadrant and Shongwe which we should be moulding instead of buying an old timer ,injury prone expensive player with a stinking attitude ..

You're right he must respect the workplace...

but the workplace also reciprocate respect to him... playing Bibo & Moholo ahead of him is disrespectful given that he hasnt put a foot wrong on the field....

Plus the workplace is a dynamic environment with people embodying various characteristics... & Okonkwo's character is of a fiery nature...

Mara Over & above people's characters the coach should be the one to rise above that... sometimes coaches must forget about proving the point that they are "the man in charge" & just field our strongest team at all times...

Bibo has a lot to learn from Tico...

Bibo should be tussling it out with Manti...

Maybe for a moment in the game we will let them be on top,
Otherwise in the whole 90 minutes we will be inside of them and on top.
Anvil or Angelic position,our only mission is to get three points in style face to face
