Highly rated teenage midfielder Jabulani Ncubeni has surfaced at Free State Stars as his club hunt continues, following the termination of his contract at Maritzburg United.
Ncubeni was discarded by Maritzburg after falling out of favour at the club.
"We have Jabulani Ncubeni training with Free State Stars as of last Friday with the hope that he makes a good enough an impression to win a contract," Alban Newman of Prosport International says.
"He is now a free agent because we reached a contract termination agreement with Maritzburg after we couldn't agree terms with any of the clubs that Maritzburg wanted to loan him out to.
"Maritzburg basically wanted to loan him out but when that couldn't happen we then reached an agreement with the club to cancel the contract," Newman says.
Though still just 19, Ncubeni already has three years of experience in the professional ranks.
At Stars Ncubeni joins Orlando Pirates development product Wesley Ntshangase and Lebo Ramolesa on trial.
Ea Lla Koto are looking to make some mid-season signings to reinforce their squad.
