Chiefs move quickly to sign Khuzwayo

Posted: 24 May 2012 Time: 04:45 pm

After KickOff.com revealed that goalkeeper Brilliant Khuzwayo had not yet signed for Kaizer Chiefs, Amakhosi moved swiftly to offer the goalkeeper a contract.

The Under-23 international has since signed a three-year contract with Amakhosi, after finalising the deal with the club football manager Bobby Motaung today.

Don't miss: AmaZulu goalkeeper Brilliant Khuzwayo says he has not signed for Kaizer Chiefs

The Umlazi-born goalkeeper revealed this morning that both AmaZulu and Amakhosi did the deal without his knowledge, and he was taken by surprise yesterday when he received the news that had already signed for Chiefs.

Khuzwayo now says he is looking forward to start his career at Naturena next season.

"Everything has been finalised with Bobby today and I have signed a three-year contract with Kaizer Chiefs," the player says.

Khuzwayo will have extremelly tough competition in the form of Bafana Bafana number-one Itumeleng Khune, although he insisted this morning that he does not want to sit on the bench, seeing himself as "one of the best goalkeepers in the land!". Do you think Khuzwayo can realistically challenge Khune for the no. 1 jersey at Chiefs? Have your say on our Facebook page HERE!

Guys we have to give a credit where is due,I think Bobby this time is doing a good thing by signing Khuzwayo. Firstly is still young and he will learn a lot from Mr D(goalkeeper coach), ask Barthman.
Lot of famous SA goalkeepers come from that man. Bear in mind that Barthman will join the technical team in goal keeping Dept. Secondly no goalkeeper came to Chiefs on his best. At Chiefs we build goalkeeper from scratch.
Khuzwayo my advice to you just listen to Mr Duiker. He knows lot no one here in Mzansi can beat his record.

Good that department is now sorted since Metsimetsi will be 1 of the 10 exiting and Baartman an understudy of Rainer in training keepers.

Let's move 2 defence now. I believe the delay on the announcement of Isaacs and Gould is bcos they are still involved wit their teams. I think Manqele is in the same mould as Majoro. Get Katongo Chris and a good and experienced cover 4 Yeye then we are ready 4 the season.

I don't think Chiefs needs 8 players. Players needs motivation and a prolific finisher.

I saw a comment that goes "good signing bobsteak" now the question arises...is Bobby the best manager in the world now? If not why not and if yes why yes.

So once again when serious teams sign players to compete you are saying your team have got players who can win you trophies it's just that they need motivation?

Who will motivate them if VV failed?

Who will ever take Nurse Khumalo serious?

Chiefs fans are not only like dogs but they are like chickens...they forget easily.

Just on the other articles they were swearing @ Bobby but now they sing all sorts of praises. They were questioning the current crop of players now they change the tune suddenly the players are the best they just need MOTIVATION...just because DKs won 2 games now the team is ready to clinch the league.

Amakhosi amahle I know it was a hard season but we need to culm down. Bobby did a lot of mistakes before but now He has come to the party. We complained about these useles ZimPlayers, now he stoped to buy them. He is competing with other teams to get good players who dersrve to ware Kaizer Chiefs Jersey.
I'm still looking forward to sign Gould,Mathoho and Manqele that's it.
Then Omakhalanjalo will be back their weeping zone.

Honestly 4 me I no longer cares who plays @ Chiefs,as long as we win games.

Jose Mourihno arrived @ Madrid with Raul,Gutti & them ending & if he kept them, history could have judged him.

If Khuzwayo feels he's better than Khune & he shows it that's fine by me.

Nobody owns anything.Even Baxter if he doesn't deliver like his beloved predecessor he must vamoes.

Is there anything wrong if we compliment our management if they done well. Everbody in this forum knows where we are coming from with Bobby and his atitude toward us.
Why is a problem now if we say our voice has been heard in OUR TEAM.
The problem is simple here, I can see clearly from where I'm sitting, Amakakaniya now they realize crying days are back. There is no more cup for them these coming seasons.

We have every rite to tell Bobby he's useless when he goes 2 zim and buy players. But if he's doing well we congradulate him.

As 4 players we sure don't need 2 change the whole personnel. Few additions will be ohk. We have a rite 2 say what we want with our team en we will say it without fear
