SALVADOR CABANAS WANTS TO PLAY AGAIN

Paraguay's star striker Salvador Cabanas says he wants to play football again.

The 29-year-old was shot in the head in a bar room brawl in Mexico two months ago.

The shooting has ruled him out of the upcoming World Cup in South Africa but Cabanas is reckoning on a comeback.

He was left fighting for his life in hospital after being shot in the head on but has since recovered although he still has the bullet in his head.

"I want to play again. I am lucky to have survived and now I want to get back on the pitch," he said in a recent TV interview.

Cabanas scored six goals in the World Cup qualifiers as Paraguay secured their place in South Africa 2010.
