Maile Tlale opened the scoring for Lesotho through a penalty, but Mandla Masango equalised before half-time, and Hlompho Kekana got the winner in the second half.

Bafana looked more lively than their neighbours as the match kicked off, and came close to opening the scoring twice inside the first five minutes, but despite Lesotho’s shaky defence the scoreline remained 0-0.

Mzikayise Mashaba had a chance to open the scoring, after some nice work by Lerato Chabangu, but he was denied by goalkeeper Phasumane Kholuoe.

Lebogang Manyama and Chabangu tried to get one back as Bafana continued to dominate, before Masango had a weak shot cleared off the line.

Just before half-time Bafana got their goal, with Masango hitting home from outside the box, finishing of a training ground set-piece initiated by Chabangu.

On 53 minutes Kekana outran his marked and finished clinically past Kholuoe.

Lesotho were awarded another penalty in the second half after Buhle Mkhwanazi handled the ball in the box, but this time Sandilands made a good save to deny Tlali his second from the spot.

Edward Manqele could have made it three from Bafana in the final minutes of the match, but he could not convert.

I begin to love the Cosafa cup. Next time we should send under 23 squad not aging players. This is good for development.

Mediocrity @ its best...from tomoro, the so called former players will be making noise abt Bafana and Safa, talkin abt development as if they were developed, the likes of tovey and Mr Beer masinga, who do they think they are?they like to make unneccesary noise abt safa and bafana as if they know wat they ar talkin abt,,,,as for bafana,I dnt think they played well, but knowin that most players we're withdrawn frm bafana by their teams,I can't blame Gordon on the bronze medal, infact,he didi very well,so tomoro,'its 'blah, blah day by the unemployed former players who thins they know it all.

The coach has done well and I think we as South Africans should appreciate that, u know what makes me mad is our unprofessional analysts who r like malema who r after mistakes of players and coaches who spoils the minds of our up and coming players. September of ssu scored an own goal and they made fun of it then hunt took it personal and september came as a substitude til league fiished secondly Parker and marks did the same bt unfortunatel baxter is a man with xperience and wise he knew what to do and say and shut mouths of those who earn by discouraging player and misleading viwers@home nxt time keep ur viws to urslf if u not sure of wht to say
