Orlando Pirate beat Zanaco in Champions League

Orlando Pirates have continued their good start in this season's CAF Champions League after beating Zambian side Zanaco 1-0.

Bucs, who beat Djabal of Comores 9-0 on aggregate in the previous round, scored the only goal of the game courtesy of Ndumiso Mabena early in the first half.

The return leg of the clash will be played at Orlando Stadium on the weekend of April 5-7.

Pirates line-up: Meyiwa – Jele, Lekgwathi, Gcaba, Matlaba – Segolela, Jali, Okonkwo, Klate – Mabena, Mbesuma

Mabena is maturing under RDS, and i have a feeling this boy plays better when he is not playing in Orlando where he is under spotlight.

I am very concerned with Meyiwa - he is poor on Set pieces period. Jele has been a suspect i think we must just play Phungwayo on the left and Matlaba on the right

Gcaba was good, Jali was in control, Klate was phenomenal,Segolela was frustrating the oponenets well,Mbesuma was forcing them to defend, Mabena was our secrete wepon, Okwonko was doing what he came back for to neutralise these african heavy weights, Matlaba was good in making tghose runs on the left however i prefer him on the right these days but its fine and last but not least the Zambian Pirates fans were awesome and shows how big rather Recognised Pirates is

Listening to Champ Lord Vincent and Champ CJB RAMSE III exchanging ideas is so crispy,its like u right inside The University of Orlando under the watchfull eye and the strict tutorial of Dr. Irvin Khoza,u come across words like:humstruck,moments of sheer genius,triavirate,ambidexterous...multiple positional rotation coupled wit precision!!
