Takesure Chinyama scores four for Orlando Pirates

Takesure Chinyama netted four goals as Orlando Pirates thumped Djabal 5-0 in their CAF Champions League preliminary round tie at Orlando Stadium.

The Buccaneers, knocked out of the competition at the same stage last year, made certain of no repeat against the side from Comoros.

Despite the hefty scoreline, the visitors were unlucky not to take the lead when a free-kick looked to have crossed the line.

It got worse when their goalkeeper had to be stretched off in the first half, meaning an outfield player had to fill the breach.

The problem showed as Sifiso Myeni struck home from the edge of the area, before Chinyama tapped home on 30 minutes from Patrick Phungwayo’s cross.

The Zimbabwean had the ball in the back of the net again just before the break, but it ruled out for offside.

There was to be no repeat on 55 minutes when Chinyama buried Daine Klate’s header to make the score 3-0, and 10 minutes later he had his hat-trick when he tapped home after Thabo Matlaba’s shot had hit the woodwork.

Twenty minutes from time it was 5-0 as Ndumiso Mabena set up Chinyama for his fourth and a fifth for Bucs, all but securing their place in the next round.

Jali relaxed ,confident and tactically disciplined . This makes it easier for players around him to flourish . Roger has used him in two different roles successfully this campaign , for the first time in his professional career I believe , the other being just being behind the strikers i.e offensively . I hope he starts wth Bibo as a DM and thus allowing AJ15 to push up and stay upfront against Platinum Stars as I believe he's the most unselfish player we have , this owing to the fact tht his game is molded around making the team play and he seems to enjoy it.

I could understand thoroughly last night the decision to let him stay at his well mastered role as the team was a closed book and also when facing steely opponents . Against Platinum Stars we need to be offensive from the word go. Keep Phungwayo at left back, he's smart and doesn't rely on a good performance for his confidence.

This team culd have walloped by Chippa united, they have no defence, no keeper and no striker. I want to see Chisanyama scoring that 4 goals in the league against Platinum Stars.

I love the you Buccaneers

There is this fly-by-night blogger [as he is known] and he trying so hard to get attention. But everyone is basically ignoring him.

I think our strongest player must go to play the away game again to get more used to the weather conditions in Northern Africa, and also get used to pitches like Mbombela, and also referees like Daniel Bennet as we have experienced last night. Getting used to these unfavorable conditions could help mold our players to be the ultimate professionals.

What a vibe here at Kick Off, Pirates fans speaking sense as always.

Let me accentuate a number positives, Gcaba has not been playing but when he is selected, he gives 100% commitment, The iron man batina Gcaba had a good game.

Captain Legwathi, what a leader we have in him,his passion is just amazing.

I don't this team need Senzo Meyiwa, he is always on a holiday, Brighten Mhlongo must be given a chance.

Once beaten twice shy. What happened last season was simply the opposite of this season where nothing but a second star is everything to play for as we are the only team in southern Africa that can successfully compete with African champions
