Kaizer Chiefs and Golden Arrows draw 0-0

Posted: 6 April 2013 Time: 16:58

Kaizer Chiefs were held to a second consecutive draw following a 0-0 stalemate on Saturday afternoon.

Chiefs played most of the match with 10 men after Reneilwe Letsholonyane was shown a red card, while the game was also held up after a fan ran onto the field to confront referee Lwandile Mfiki.

Chiefs thought they had scored in the eighth minute, but Lehlohonolo Majoro was ruled offside. Two minutes later Chiefs keeper Khune was forced to make a good save after Tshepo Liphoko unleashed a brilliant shot from 18-yards out.

Majoro had another chance just before the half-hour mark when he found himself one-on-one with the keeper, but he shot wide.

The game then turned on its head when Letsholonyane was shown a red carded for a late challenge on Liphoko. Chiefs players and the bench protested the decision, before the fan made his way onto the pitch and tried to hit Mfiki with a vuvuzela.

Liphoko had another great opportunity late in the game when he received the ball on the left and fired a shot at Khune, but it went across the face of goal.

Two minutes later Chiefs got a break with Majoro setting up Siboniso Gaxa, but he lobbed his effort over the bar, before Siphiwe Tshabalala hit the side-netting with the last kick of the game.

There was more drama after the final whistle when Chiefs coach Stuart Baxter refused to shake Arrows counterpart Manqoba Mngqithi’s hand, with the latter saying: “I wanted to shake hand but he didn't want to, he can go to hell.”

Next time Pierats should double their brown envelop coz if not doubled its gonna end in a draw. For us to lose a match, there must be two HARSH straight Red-Cards.

Shabba, Majoro, Parker really make ameature decisions when on the ball. Instead of passing the go for a shot from miles away. Dladla, Ngcobo, Baloyi must start the Nedbank game, and Moleko as well

I would like to tell the game in hand rodents that they have nothing to celebrate, they haven't won in 5 games and they are 3rd on the log. We are Still 7points ahead of platinum stars and 8 ahead of mice, don't panic Khosi..

Let's hear Bobby dogs when they celebrate yet another draw

Chiefs does not know how to win the league, and results are proving me right
We are not going to hit our coach with a vuvuzela because of a draw. Good fighting spirit from our team, especially with a red card. We support our team, the war continues.

Good results from the boys even though Pirates referee almost messed things up for us. This man was on a mission, but we soldiered on. Good performance from Masilela, Marshal,Nkosi n Sherrif. Ey Svasiya, performed way above many of our expectations. We just need 2 wins n the draw. Amakhooooosi!

Congratulation to Gould and the team for protecting a referee after an Orlando Pirates fan run amok into the field

I don't know whether Chibuku FC fans are just trying to make themselves feel better or what. This lig is firmly for Chiefs to lose. Yea a win would have been good for Chiefs but a draw under the circumstances is still fine.

The dagga smokers who are still hoping to win the lig are doing their health no good. Even if we draw all our remaining matches we will still easily win this thing.
