Musona's brilliant double downs Aces

Posted: 22 December 2010 Time: 21:48

Kaizer Chiefs striker Knowledge Musona scored a magnificent brace as Amakhosi cruised to a 2-0 victory over Mpumalanga Black Aces in Witbank on Wednesday.

The Zimbabwean netted an over-head kick and then added a fantastic second to bring Amakhosi to within four points of league leaders Mamelodi Sundowns.

It took just 55 seconds for Chiefs to find themselves ahead and the opening goal of the game was a piece of pure brilliance on the part of Musona. Thomas Sweswe turned in the perfect ball from the right wing and Musona met the ball with a perfectly executed over-head kick to fire it past Onyango to hand the visitors the lead.

Aces were by no means bystanders in the game and came close to levelling the scores in the 13th minute. Thokozane Khanyile rolled the ball to Walter Ramulondi who went for goal from distance and sent the ball rocketing past Bartman. To the reprieve of the Chiefs keeper the ball hit his right hand upright.

In first half stoppage time Onyango intercepted a pass from Motaung as he tried to find Musona in the six yard box, Chiefs went into the break a goal ahead.

The writing was on the wall for Aces as they would be going down to their fifth successive defeat when Musona turned home a pass from close range after he had been put on goal by Jimmy Tau in the 53rd minute, 2-0.

Even when Aces did manage to get sight of goal they were frustrated by firm goalkeeping as was the case in the 60th minute. Marwaan Bantam’s corner from the left was flicked to the far post by Sibusiso Dabi and Bafo Biyela hit it goalwards only for Bartman to push the ball up and over his post to safety.

With a quarter of an hour to go Masondo sent a header agonisingly close to goal, Aces frustrations were summed up when Bienvenue Tipa miss hit the ball from close range in the 90th minute and the ball went straight to Bartman.

NTATA LONA BASHANA: for 2 season i have contested for the league title and one of those season ended on equal poinst with SSU.

The point is, i do have the capacity to contest, because i have done it before and doing it again.

"But it has quality to beat pirates 6-1 in 180 minutes" The whole country knows and accepted the fact that Kroll gave the game to Chiefs, even Chiefs fans where celebrating OP starting eleven. Even VV lamented on it.

The last time you beat Pirates was in 2008, get over yourselfs

I HATE PIRATES CAPTAIN AND COACH:2010-12-23 00:51

Musona is overrated. He is using too much MUTI. I personally know him. He is from Chipinge next to the border from Zim to Moz. His farther name is Ndukwe Musona a biggest Traditional doctor and Sangoma in Zim who owns 8 pythons. Mxm.

SO THERE IS GOOD MUTHI IN ZIMBABWE. PITSO SHOULD TAKE ALL BAFANA BAFANA STRIKERS TO KNOWLEDGE'S FATHER.

VIVA CHIPINGE MUTHI VIVA!!! Shapa Musona Shapa!!!

By the time the pythons are 12 Knowledge will be scoring hat tricks every game. And thina Amakhosi will be more than happy.

You CAN'T bring a good man down. And by the way JERLOUSY IS THE FREEDOM OF FOOLS.....

You did good mafana. Potential PSL player of the season, PSL top goal scorer of the season; @ Chiefs- Players player of the season, Player of the season, top goal scorer. From today onwards it is a crime to compare Muson with these ff players, the first on the list being the worst- thus as a crime deserving the harshest punishment:

1. Teko Modise= death penalty
2. Otorugu=Death penalty
3. Msowoya=death penalty
4. Mpho Maleka=life imprisonment plus 60 lashes ko sebonong
5. Klate=life imprisonment
6. Mushweki=50 years without possibility of parole, plus some 30 lashes
7. Serero=30 years
8. The rest of the players not mentioned= 10 years
9. Messi= community service

Footbal is a game of emotions and speculations. You do not have to invest all of your emotions on it based on your expectations because one game changes everything and you stay with an egg in your phase or you celebrate more. It is not wise to be calling people names when you are excited about your teams performance based on theirs poor performance.
You win today and you lose tomorrow and so it happens with your opposition, except only if you are an Aces supporter, in that case you lose every time. hehehe.
Guys, lets keep respect of on another in both our conduct and comments, both about our teams or theirs. We can tease one another but not more than that.We should be gracious and matured in our communications on football matters. this is a game of gentlemen and ladies and children. The respect include not telling unverifiable lies and facts to the nation about other teams and yours because your emotions are running high. Kickoff is a national communication tool, and when you lie on Kickoff you lie to the nation by default. And that is not Ayoba.
Merry Christmas and Happy new year guys.

Hey wena Foolish Doobza with your bragging about Musona, what if he gets injured as most good players as him are prone to injuries? Does this mean that Cabbages will not be able to score? Take nothing away from Musona, he is indeed a good player but I think to rely on him only is suicidal for the Cabbages becase sooner or later the defenders are going to deal with him and put him out of the game for a long time and Cabbages will be dead! Think about it guys especially you Doobza and your foolish coach VV.
