Mamelodi Sundowns continued their resurgence with a 2-0 win over Bloemfontein Celtic at the Seisa Ramabodu Stadium on Wednesday evening.
Mabhuti Khenyeza and Felix Katongo scored for the Brazilians, who have now moved into the tope eight.
Sundowns scored after just 14 minutes when Mabhuti Khenyeza powered home a low shot that went through the legs of Johannes Mothlaping on its way into the empty net for his fourth League goal of the season.
With the supporters playing their part on the stands, Celtic players reacted to the goal with two attacks through Tlou Segolela and Excellent Walaza, but their efforts did not trouble Brian Baloyi.
A few minutes after restart, Katlego Mphela was denied his 10th goal of the season by goalkeeper Tignyemb after connecting with a clean and low cross from midfielder Elias Pelembe.
Celtic showed much improvement in the second half with chances from Segolela and Patrick Malokase, but they went for wrong options from good positions and some of shots could not find the target.
Mphela had a few chances saved by Tignyemb in the closing stages, but substitute striker Felix Katongo enjoyed the final flourish as he rounded off the Celtic defence to put this contest to rest with his first goal for Sundowns.
