Chiefs' nightmare continues

Posted: 23 February 2008 Time: 22:15

Kaizer Chiefs nightmare Absa Premiership season continued on Saturday night as they stumbled to a 1-0 home loss against Supersport United.

The Amakhosi came into the match off the back of a fine 2-0 win over BidVest Wits in midweek, a result that had eased the pressure somewhat on Muhsin Ertugral, but the coach will be under fire once again following this defeat.

Mozambican midfielder Elias Pelembe scored the game's only goal on the stroke of half time, cutting inside onto his left foot and firing a low drive into the bottom corner of the net.

Chiefs wasted a huge number of scoring opportunities throughout the match, a sight that has become all too common this season from the Amakhosi.

In truth the Amakhosi never looked like troubling United, such was their lack of composure in attack.

The three points for SuperSport sees them move within striking distance of leaders Ajax Cape Town, although the Urban Warriors will have a chance to restore their lead when they take on Jomo Cosmos on Sunday.

What a game on the night. Gavin Hunt got his tactics right on the day. Congratulations to Mantsatsantsa a Pitori you deserve to win. To Elias Pelembe you are a great finisher.

Poor torrealba is coming to the kraal ya dikgomo. Bobby if you are realy a son of a former soccer star, why aren't you a soccer player. I'll tell you why, u know nothing about soccer. U sold Mbesuma when he was still immature for him to leave, one more season with the club, that boy would have been playing for ManU/Madrid/Liverpool. why did you sell S Nkosi, one more season with the club he would have worth more than what u sold him for you greedy vision-less bastard who got a job because this is daddy's business. is not a business its a soccer club u moron.

no yellow cards for the Chiefs players tells me that they didn't really want to win it enough...ie Supersport were more hungry.
oh, and Sello...Chiefs and SAFA discarded Tovey after his gr8 service...if he had any principles he would never go back to coach Chiefs...

you know what is amazing is that middendorp was using the same average players and everybody was calling for his head.and guess what people are realising now that chiefs dont have good players but average, only when its another coach you know sometimes coaches dont have a problem the players are the ones who cant even do basics things correctly.what is nengomashe saying now?when middendorp left he said middendorp must shoulder the blame for the teams poor perfomance now who must be blamed tinashe? im listening

I share Gee's sentiments (without the other words of course), the least Chiefs can do is to fire the coach while it is evident that the problem lies somewhere in management. How do you explain a coach being given 3 months (9 games) contract 9 games towards the end of the season? In the space of 12 months Chiefs had had 3 coaches @ this rate they will surpass SAFA with number of coaches hired/fired. Will have to wait & see where this team is heading.

The only thiong tat Chiefs right now is a playmaker. And we have one right under our noses. Mushin is just a coward who even while playing youngsters, he does that with sickening caution. Get Phala playing as a playmaker and stop your foolishness wena man. Cant you see the boy is hungry???// Ntl@#. Why the hell does he replace Obua with Zwane, stupid. I want the coach to saty on though because this is soccer, you need sustainability and sanity.

Mushin must pack his back and Take Obua with him. He started with Ditheko Mutoto, who is not match fit and exposed him to unecessary pressure. This guy doesnt have a solid 11 this time of the season, The position that he's sure about is Khunes', the rest he's just trying new stuff, this time of the season nogal. Hai man lo baba lo uya si bulala period. Gordon won the League and a major cup, then fired. What makes Mushin special. This guy must Vamooos...

the previous season was a lot better than the current one for chiefs, muhsin is great coach but il have to blame him for his stlye, he is killing the kaizer chiefs team with his youngster playing strategy but on the other hand good for south african football as we approach 2010. kaizer chiefs need a playmaker, people like Gert. m a pirates supporter bt i like KC very much. im scared il see kaizer chiefs playing in the Inland Stream next season.

its now clear that the last chances Chiefs & Downs had to grab at least a million rand(the price u get if u finish 8th)out of this Absa cashcow league went up in a smoke this weekend.the only option left 4 chiefs to atleast pocket sum millions this season is by selling Khune to Europe,as 4 downs if Motsepe decide to auction all his players(2 Mvela clubs that is}he should be happy if he manages to raise 2 millon rands out of all of them.they are worthless.(4 all the money they are getting)at least Godown bit the dust.with Chiefs well only Khune & to sum extend Tinashe deserves their pay cheques but the big question is can good player became bad players overnight?i mean last season Tau & Spencer were solid,Bhasera was top class 4 the 1st 4 months,Motaung scored 12,Sibeko was promising,Tshabalala was Bafana material & Obua was a marvel so are they suddenly bad players?clearly something is not right from the top perhaps Kaizer is getting old & his judgement is no longer as sharp as it used 2 be,How can he complain about his technical stuff & yet take no action?even the ball boys can figure it out that Mushin is destroying Chiefs why not fire the bustard?maybe he should call someone 2 help him with ideas & that sum one clearly should not be his fat no good idiot son Bobby "Steak".

Let them go to MVELA and learn soccer basics. Always they play like HEADLESS CHICKENS. There is nothing wrong with ETUGRAL, BUT OLD PLAYERS LIKE BARTLET, ZWANE, MOOKI ETC ARE JUICE-LESS.

i dont belive on mushin's style of play, using tired legs of bartlet, zwane, obua when there is fresh young blood on the camp. why are the youngsters not given a chance to explore their hunger for glory, passion for shine and taking amakhosi to where they belong on the log? well it was heard they lack experience but where are they going to gain it if they dont play?. i belive these likes of zuke, nkhambule, phala, bulu can gain experience if they are mixed with the old cows or learn that trick of headers( that is what bartlet has been kept for) but fails to kick a ball into the net. i also dont understand when mshin is going to get the "right squard" as he has been changing for the past season, no consistence on the players because they dont get form. maybe mshin has a tired mind. think twice Kaizer before we see chiefs leading on mvela leauge. the coming game is the last for mushin to test his careea.

i hate chiefs these days, i hate being laughed by my colleages at work ( because they are pirates). they said their sorrowful days of mutombo are over, now is their time. yes i belive them , it is time for youngsters not pensioners. i also hate mushin and his bench. Look at our rivals (pirates) i think the oldest player is one defender i would not say his name. they are using a diffferent style of play and they are getting maximum point exept for last weekend. it didn't work for kanu on the afcon though he had experience but due to his age he was watching at the bench. and i dont truly believe why we develop youngsters that we dont use even when ready? i know also kaizer likes the old cows as he was quoted on the website's comments to the coach but to me their time mostly the strikers has faded out. before we lose those boys let us utilize them, train them well it's easy to tame a dog while still young, mushin will never tame bartlet.
