Ezenkosi, Amakhosi draw

Posted: 17 February 2008 Time: 17:51

Chiefs drew 0-0 with Cosmos in a frustrating Absa Premiership match at Orkney Stadium on Sunday.

Both sides created numerous chances, and played good football, but just could not find the back of the net.

Cosmos could have been 3-0 up in the first twenty minutes, after two shots from Dikgang Mabalane and one from Bamuza Sono.

Geoffrey Massa had a great game, creating chance after chance. However, he either couldn’t finish himself, or distributed the ball to teammates who couldn’t deliver.

Massa had a great chance in the 37th minute, after a shot was deflected and he was delivered the ball right in front of the net, but he skied his attempt over the posts.

The best chance for Cosmos came in the 86th minute, however, when Massa made a solid run on the left, beat his man, and then looked to have gone too far before blasting the ball straight at Khune from a tight angle. The ball hit the inside of the keeper’s leg and went out off the post. Cosmos couldn’t make anything of the resulting consecutive corners.

Chiefs had their fair share of opportunities, but Cosmos keeper Avril Phali was on form.

The result takes Chiefs out of the bottom four on goal difference. Cosmos stay bottom on 14 points.

Silent Mushin. For sure players complaint of his touch line tactics, (frustrating players). He never shouted during the cosmos game, he is seeing the Exit door with one eye. How can you hre a coach to beat only one team in PSL. He has done his job well.

Casper, M/Mangena always preach about composure inside the big BOX but our players dont take his advice, Only T/Bucane & Torealba understands what is composure.

FAIZAL-be realistic and face the facts your team is playing KAK and Ure busy diverting your anger to the wrong football bodies...Even if your team change coaches it wont help coz that would mean players have to adapt to the new coache's style of play...Shame on you....

yah maybe we should bring back Jeff Buttler!! Mushin is useless and i think the Motaung family should consider kickin out some of the family members out of the administration...kante who suggested Mushin in the first place was it Bobby? or was it the boss? either one of them...they certainly dont know what they are doing because for the past 3 years Chiefs has looked nothing but a team made of loosers..we should be targeting teams like al aghly and them...an competing at the highest level..that will grow chiefs brand continentally and wolrd wide...the radar has grown its not only about beatin pirates or sondowns or even celtic its about beatin teams like enyimba so that our football can grow. Mushin is not the right man for that kind of ambition if you want to keep him at chiefs maybe he should go coach the under 12s!! now he is complaining about not havin good players angete he kicked out ngobese and schalk sayin wht he has is good enough??? tht guy is useless so is Fani Madida!

Poor chiefs. I feel sorry for the supporters. They are victims of poor decisions by the technical staff and management, like playing old players who aren't making any impact. Who can tell me what contribution is Arthur Zwane and Bartlet making. How do u play bartlet if you don't have a matured playmaker, he will just run the whole 90 minutes getting no service.

like I've said before thi current KC team's main aim on the field is to avoid defeat, hence a look at the log will reveal they have only 4 losses but looking further shows they are the only side into double figures in the draws column and they've only managed to beat 3 sides in the league this year! One doesn't have to be a mathematician to realise that the league prize of R10million is beyond their grasp this year, but this strategy works well for them in cup competitions, because it buys them time until they triumph via penalty shoot-outs. So dont be suprised if Muhsin-oa-didraw saves his job by winning the Nedbank Coup with Khune's help. It happened before with Middendorp beating Bucs on in ABSA Cup on penalties. My question is where is SA Football going with such highly-paid but mediocre coaches?

Fire Muhsin i say. He has not improved our team, in fact he is continuing where he left off. No ideas, changes the team with each game and the excuse is we are bulding. You dont built at Chiefs, that is not the tradition. Every team is planning on getting a point or three againts us in their league plan this year. Fire Muhsin and Bobby, fire them or else.....

I tend to agree with FAIZAL, the money will go to greedy club bosses and poor players will still get meager salaries - EXCEPT at Sundowns of course, where 10m will be shared equally to everyone. Thats Motsepe for you!
