PSL Promotion Play-off Match Report: Milano United 0-1 Black Leopards

Posted: 28 May 2014 Time: 21:32

Black Leopards have given themselves every chance of winning the PSL Promotion Play-offs after beating Milano United 1-0 in Cape Town.

Lidoda Duvha needed three points at Athlone Stadium to set up a 'winner-takes-all' final match against Polokwane City and got what they were looking for courtesy of an 80th-minute goal from Rendani Ndou.

It was a game of chances wasted on a chilly night as both sides failed to make the most of their opportunities, but Ndou finally got the telling goal 10 minutes from time.

Leopards move onto six points after this result, one point behind Rise and Shine who have seven, and whom they host on Sunday, 1 June in Giyani for a place on next season's 2014/15 Premiership table.

Leopards need to win to be promoted from the NFD and Polokwane City need a draw to retain their top-flight status.

Milano starting XI: Goldman, Robertson, Jacobs, Sait, Nazier, Phete, Jacobs, Theron, Webber, Saal, Stoffels

Leopards starting XI: Mokhasi, Munyai, Mabotja, Munganga, Owusu, Abubakar, Manaka, Maphangule, Ntshangase, Matlakala, Amidu

I'm also in favour of a First Division team in these rubbish Play Offs! Why the team in the Psl given another chance when they have 30 games to fight for their status?
