Nedbank Cup Last 16 report AmaZulu 1-4 Bidvest Wits

Posted: 22 March 2014 Time: 14:19

Bidvest Wits eased into the Nedbank Cup quarter-finals with a 4-1 demolition of AmaZulu in Durban on Saturday afternoon.

Papy Faty bagged a brace to go with strikes from Wits skipper Sibusiso Vilakazi and ex-Usuthu hitman Sthembiso Ngcobo, while Lucky Nguzana scored a consolation goal at Princess Magogo Stadium.

Ngcobo scored the opener with a header 16 minutes in.

Faty doubled the lead 13 minutes later from close range following good work from Siboniso Gumede.

Faty got his second six minutes after the interval, as he finished confidently after being teed up by Phumlani Ntshangase.

Bafana Bafana midfielder Vilakazi compounded the hosts' misery when he latched onto an Asive Langwe pass before drilling the ball into the net in the 78th minute.

Nguzana then pulled one back in optional time for Craig Rosslee's side.

I am so glad my favourite striker uSthembile Ngcobo keep scoring when Baxter and V V (Velaphi Vilakazi ) felt he was useless when we AmaKhosi fans kept telling them that Ngcobo was far better than Nkhatha + Majoro put together . Nkhatha cannot trap the ball or make a good pass to team mate . Ngcobo will be a good answer to a traditional number 9 for Bafana Bafazi

Chiefs Coaches and NOT Chiefs almost destroyed Ngcobo ,a gigted star playa who bliksemed Pierats and was since kept on the bench simply for destroying Pierats . I wish he can punish my team when we meet them just to prove that they  made a stupid mistake by selling him instead of Nkatha

great win by Wits and oce again uSthembile Ngcobo scored and won MAN of the Match proving again that some of us were not wrong when we complained that Chiefs was not giving Ngcobo a chance . I am one of those who still believe that Chiefs Coaches and not Kaizer Chiefs Management almost destroyed uNgcobo, For me uNgcobo was far better than Nkhatha and Majoro put together but was surprisingly kept on the bench for no reason . Hey ,labantu !!!

In case you don't know , he has already scored 6 goals in all competitions and I am glad , he has scored against AmaZulu everytime Wits played them just ukulaya or show uCraig Rosslee that he showed no faith in him and is now being bliksemed by the same playa he undermined

Stupid coaches, with their tendency of destroying talent. Pay back time for you Ngcobo. God bless u mchana. I was not happy when stupid coach let u go to the mighty Amakhosi. But Wits is a small team, U wont do that when we meet with ur team. Chiefs ya bleksamer.
