GAME OVER! Algeria are through to the last 16. 

93' Free kick Algeria. Is this the last play of the game?

91' Slimani is substituted. There will be 4 minutes of extra time not three. Someone on the Russian bench earns a yellow for time wasting 

90' Corner Russia. Kozlov heads and it's just wide. Nail bitting stuff.

88' There will be theree minutes of added time as Algeria get closer to a draw that will see them meet Germany in the last 16. 

86' Ghilas slides in hopelessly late, tries to pull out but still colides earning him a yellow and Russia a dangerous free kick, its played into the box by Samedov but Rais catches it easily.

84' Only Slimani left up front as Algeria start to park the the bus in an effort to keep Russia out.

82' Russia push forward as they attempt to create a match winning chance, but Algeria hold firm. 

80' Belgium have scored in the other game in this group. As Kannunikov comes on for Kezhajov.

79' Koslov is blown for a foul through after not taking it from the right position. Russia can't afford sily mistakes now.  

78' Samerov almost plays in Dzagoev but the substitute just can't quite reach it. 

77' Ghilas comes on for Dejabou as Capello begins to look worries.

74' Slimani goes down and he's stretchered off the field. Doesnt look like he's going to stay on the sidelines for long though.

72' Algeria breaks after an interception in the centre of the park. Feghouli runs, before being met by three Russian defenders, he stepts over the ball a few times before delivering a tame shot into the awaiting hands of Akinfeev.

69' CHANCE Kezakov fires low from just inside the box, after a good move by the Russians, but Rais does well to not only save the shot, but hold on to it.

67' Capello makes a change taking Shatov off and bringing on the talented Dzagoev as Russia look for a goal that could take them to the last 16

63' Dejabou takes a shot from range but its straight to Akinfeev. As things stand Algeria will progress together with Belgium.

59' GOAL!  Slimani heads home the free kick. Akinefeev comes out and tries to reach the ball, but doesnt quite get there. 

58' Annother yellow Kozolov tugs and pushes his man down near the corner flag, giving away annother free kick

57' Kobarov earns a yellow for a bit of shirt tugging.  The free kick comes to nothing due to pushing inside the box, which earns Russia a free kick.

52' Algeria have to be careful not to conceed annother goal Keshakov makes a dangerous run down the wing, but his cross comes off an Algerian. 

50' Russia looking dangerous on the break a Keshakov makes a good run cutting inside and shooting only for the ball to be deflected out for a corner.  Russia take it short, but are unable to make anything from the set piece. 

50' Algeria aren't able to get anything from a good free kick, but the final ball is off a Russian head for a corner. Akinfeev has to punch the ball away as Algeria look for that all important equaliser. 

48' CHANCE Samedov makes an excelent run after a deft one two, but his final shot is foiled by a good stop from Rais who has to rush out and get low quickly.

46' Russia make a like for like substitution as Denisov comes on for Glushakov.

Half time. At this stage Russia look the more likely team to go through as they go into the break with a one goal lead. Belgium have had a man sent off in their game against Korea Republic, but that game remains nil-nil.

45' Dangerous throughball by Russia means that Algerian defence have to make a sliding challenege to intercept the ball, which Kezhakov almost got to.  

42' CHANCE! Slimani gets on the end of a corner but he heads his attempt straight at Rais, who is looking more confident since the howler he made in Russia's opening game against Korea Republic. 

40'  Algeria stringing together good passes, but still looking for a decisive ball into the box. 

39' Silly Challenge by Mesbah earns Algeria a yellow card and a Russian free kick neer the corner flag. Nothing comes from the free kick as Algeria are able to clear their area.

37’ Free kick in a dangerous position after Kokorin is bundled over. It’s a little far out to go straight for goal and the ball is played in, but there’s too much power on it and it goes out for a goal kick.


34’ This time Brahimi takes a shot from outside the box, after a good run, but its easily saved.

33’ Brahimi gets the ball outside the box, but in front of the goal unmarked, he could’ve taken a shot but instead tries to play a pass into the box, as Algeria search for their first goal.

30' Algeria looking dangerous in the last five minutes, but not able to deliver a final ball into the box as annother promising fast paced attack breaks down thanks to a Russian intercept.

28' Slimani heads from the corner forcing Akinfeev into a good save. An Algerian player was in an offside posistion and interfering with play, so it wasnt really a chance.

28' A promising move by Algeria breaks down as they're not able to find the final ball. They manage to earn a corner

25' Shatov has a go from distance, the chance is not far off and had it gone in it would have been one of the best goals we've seen so far. 

15' RUssia looking the more dangerous of the two teams, but have yet to create annother clear cut chance. 

5’ GOAL Kokorin meets a good cross with a powerful header.

2’ Both teams start the game with speed and vigor. The Russian defenders are looking to press Algeria when the Africans have possession.

1’ And we’re underway. Russia are playing in maroon red, while Algeria are playing white and both countries are playing for a place in the last 16.
