Bloemfontein Celtic returned to winning ways with a narrow 3-2 victory over Premiership rookies Polokwane City.
Phunya Sele Sele, who lost 3-1 to Mamelodi Sundowns in their opening League opener, bounced back via goals from Ruzaigh Gamildien, substitute Rodrick Mutuma and Joel Mogorosi, while Kekaetswe Moloi and Sphesilhle Nzimande netted for the hosts at Peter Mokaba Stadium.
Clinton Larsen's men started brightly, as creative midfielder Gamildien fired home two minutes in after being released by his skipper and Bafana Bafana defender Thabo Nthethe.
The lead, however, was shortlived, as Moloi converted Nzimande's dangerous ball across the box three minutes later.
The sides then traded efforts, with Tshepo Tema and Gamildien shooting wide at either end, while Celtic goalkeeper Patrick Tignyemb pulled of a superb stop to deny Puleng Tlolane just before the break.
Celtic took the initiative in the 74th minute, as Mutuma finished calmy after latching on to a pass by debutant Letsie Koapeng.
Mogorosi made it 3-1 eight minutes later to all but seal the result.
The visitors did however endure some tense moments in the closing stages after Nzimande snatched a consolation goal with two minutes to go.
