ABS put up a magnificent performance to beat Enyimba 3-0 in an NPFL Week 16 game at the Kwara State Stadium on Wednesday.
Lanky playmaker Stone Evbuomwan scored in the 23rd minute to give the hosts a first-half lead against their more illustrious opponents.
Enyimba's search for an equalizer was dented when ABS midfielder Ajibola Otegbeye was brought down by Enyimba's goalkeeper in a one-on-one situation in the 68th minute, and Lordson Ichull stepped up to take the resulting spot-kick and double the advantage.
ABS made the scoreline more emphatic when Abiodun Sala scored in the 73rd minute to seal the win.
The win may have resulted from the strange motivational method adopted by the ABS management. Alloy Chukwuemeka, the general-manager of the club, paid the players their winning bonus on Tuesday with a condition that they were to refund the money if the failed to beat Enyimba.
But with the win on Wednesday evening, the players are now fully entitled to the money.
