Golden Arrows cruised into the Nedbank Cup last 16 with an easy 4-0 win against Vardos FC at the Makhulong Stadium on Saturday night.
They opened the scoring on 16 minutes against the Gauteng Safa Second Division side, with Thamsanga Gabuza curling the ball around the keeper after cleverly creating space for himself.
Just before the half-hour mark it was 2-0 when Tshepo Liphoko, on loan from Orlando Pirates, converted from Lucky Nguzana’s good work.
On 43 minutes Sibisiso Hadebe got his name on the scoresheet, and it was 4-0 on the stroke of halftime when Nguzana beat the offside trap.
Arrows took their foot off the gas in the second half, and also had defender Siyanda Zwane sent off for a second bookable offence.
