Banyana Banyana have beaten Botswana 3-0 in a friendly international played at Moruleng Stadium in the North West.
Andisiwe Mcgoyi, who plays for Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies club, opened the scoring in the 11th minute, and Refiloe Jane increased the lead in the 25th minute.
The score was 2-0 at the interval.
Forward Noko Matlou, who was named CAF Female Footballer of the Year in February 2009, completed the rout to finish the match 3-0 in favour of Banyana.
Banyana travelled to Rustenburg without the services of captain Amanda Dlamini, who was rested, and Amanda Sister, who had family commitments.
The clash took place in partnership with the North West Government’s Department of Sport and Recreation, and the encounter was used to highlight the provincial government’s focus on 16 days of Activism against Women and Child Abuse, which ends on match day.
