AmaZulu get vital win over Swallows

AmaZulu beat Moroka Swallows 2-1 in a League encounter on Saturday night.

A late goal from Joseph Malongoane handed AmaZulu a 2-1 victory over Moroka Swallows in their Premiership match at the Dobsonville Stadium on Saturday night.

The victory moves Usuthu out of the relegation zone for the first time this season and comes following their loss in the Nedbank Cup against third-tier side Tembu Royals in midweek.

By contrast, Swallows were coming off a 3-2 victory over Orlando Pirates, but never quite got into top gear in this game.

Makhosonke Bhengu and Malongoane netted for Usuthu, while Bennett Chenene scored for Swallows.

There were few chances in the opening period, but AmaZulu went into the break ahead. Malongoane fed Bhengu in the area and the forward netted from an acute angle, AmaZulu’s 10th goal of the season.

Swallows found an equaliser with 18 minutes on the click when Obada fed Bennett Chenene and the winger applied an excellent finish on the run.

But the visitors would not be denied and they were back in front with eight minutes remaining on the clock.

Ayanda Dlamini saw his shot blocked by Greg Etafia in the home goal, but Malongoane was on hand to score from the rebound.

Swallows r not serious,but USELESS.where was Mashego,Mabalane,Tsutsulupa,Nomvethe n co? Tuesdays hangover at its best.u looked on fire against the champs,dukuduku nifile.wasnt dat BIG win suppose to lift ur moral up?anyway,well done to usuthu n Rosslee.by the way,UP THE BUCS...

Mr edıtor yo artıcle sucks, Amazulu domınated the game, passed the ball very well and u dıdnt aknowledge that?? Swallows ıs dead the wın agaınst Pırates ıs nothıng gıven the fact that pırates are not@theır best yet. Heeeebbe - Usuthu_Up the Bucs by the Way.

Swallows is useless! They fought so hard to beat us (Pirates) on tuesday, mara whenever they have to play against the smaller teams... They drop points! That's ze reason that it will take them few more decades before they lift the psl trophy. Rona Mabhakania retla dula re thabile.

Teams like Swalllows will never improve or be consistent perfumers for one reason.Its a team of rejects who only play when they have to prove a point, they do not play their normal game but behave like a social team that will perfom because they are playing against a certain team. One cannot believe that this is the same team that came from a 2-0 down and went to win 3-2 against reigning League Champions. When you look at them i am reminded of Santos, Black Aces, Jomo Cosmos and Wits University. All these 4 teams have one thing in common, on their way to relagation they beat the Champs and the rest of the games they played they just imploded and ended up in the first division. So you ask yourself, where did it help Them??? Watch Maluti FET if they will win their next Nedbank Game...

Should KChıefs beat pırates on satday, they wıll NOT wın the league BUT ıf they lose to pırates that wıll be a vıtal sıgn to WINNING the league. Remember thıs predıctıons, ya ıt hard to swallow.
