Khama Billiat broke the deadlock, in the 17th minute, when he impressively went through Chippa’s defence to slice a goal past the keeper.
Their joy was short lived, however, when Welcome Qalanto beat Westerveld at the near post with an angled strike which hit the top of the net, just a minute after Ajax’s goal.
Billiat was in and among the action for Ajax and he nearly handed them the lead when his effort struck the woodwork just before the half hour mark.
Despite their efforts on attack it was Chippa who claimed the lead when Larry Cohen slotted the ball under the body of Westerveld 33 minutes in.
Ajax made an immediate response after the break when Musa Lebusa managed to connect with the ball, off a corner kick, and placed it into the back of the net just three minutes after the restart.
It was a comedy of errors for Kassaly who rushed off his line and miss-kicked a ball twice, which fell to Wanderson on the 62nd minute, who stunningly chipped the ball into the net to wrap up a wonder goal.
Chippa have close to six registered former Ajax players in their squad and they replaced one for another when Mfundo Shumana came on for Brent Carelse, however, there wasn’t to be any late equaliser from the Chilli boys.

It was an entertaining game though I think Chippa was let down by the likes of Brent Carlese who was caught for pace.....the way Ajax played, don't deserve to be where they r.........this Chippa team, is obvious 3 points for Pirates next week....there is no way they can win against gorillas
