Match report: Moroka Swallows salvage a draw against Black Leopards

Posted: 27 October 2012 Time: 10:08 pm

Black Leopards thought they were home and dry with a 2-1 away win against Moroka Swallows, before Katlego Mashego scored for a last-gasp draw.

Swallows were 1-0 up in as early as the seventh minute when Mashego received a pass from Lerato Chabangu and turned inside the box to beat Posnett Omony with a low shot.

Mashego thought he had got his brace in the 20th minute but his strike was ruled out for offside.

Swallows led 1-0 at half-time, but Leopards came back strongly in the second half and they needed only two minutes to make a comeback.

In the 62 minute former Kaizer Chiefs man Michael Nkambule accepted Ramagalela's pass to level the score, and two minutes later captain Mongezi Bobe scored with a powerful free-kick to put Lidoda Duvha in the lead.

The introduction of David Mathebula and Joseph Makhanya changed the complexion of the game, so it came as no surprise when Mashego grabbed his brace with a powerful volley in the final minute, to put the Birds level.

Who said others cannot play draw.Evyone was hoping to close the gap.
Any was the mighty Amakhosi still leading and when the next quartile start, they are still going to lead the race.
Leaders up to infinity, & next season they will b playing in Africa as they are now sizeless in Mzansi.
Believe it or not, we are still going to see other draws on Sunday.

To those idiots who made unnecessary noise after playing draw on Friday, now they see this weekend is mostly for draws. Even their kakaniya team might play a draw or loose. So they must not suffocute their narrow minds with zolo smoke. But anyway Chiefs don't care about this Amazulu game. We will finish this on our account.

And this noise will seize for good.

I'm BLACK in front and GOLD at the back.

@Khosi family

On my point of view I can say we still on the right track despite the fact that we played draw but we still leading the marathon still no loose as yet.

The only thing left for us this year is to wash away Amakakaniya before Afcon starts. That will give Bafana BaChiefs play their Afcon tornament. Let Chiefs players play this tornament without harassment from hooligans and noise Gorillas FC.

I still see them sweating and fighting for second best place yet.

new s.a record, most team scored in injury time. LEOPARDS, if its winning, dont worry, you will catch it on injury time .thats realy hurts, I can understand why Mr Thidiela cried lastnite, 4games supposed to wrap them up, but scored and equalised in injurytime. mayb when leopards its playing no more injury time for them to win. its counted as under dogs from papers to tv, all soccer analyisis on tv never count leaopards at all.

CHIDZAMWA is worried of life ban, draw specialist, how can u draw 8games and expect to go on top 8. CHIEF do samthing now before too late,COACH tactics now working at all, and the thing of scored before 10min in each an everygame its quastionable. we the fans now happy at all.

to answer you about low fans of leopards, LEOPARD ITS NOT FROM POLOKWANE, the support base you wer talking about its from VENDA. so if it was playing in venda you will see full packed stadiums all the time, POLOKWANE PEOPLE ARE RACIST, THEY SUPPORT ANY TEAM PLAYING AGAINST LEOPARDS as they say , KEYA MAVENDA. leopards need to get stadium in venda dats all. this polokwane thing not working at all

Micheal Nkambule, what a player!!!!! He must just maintain the standard he's set for himself, as a Khosi, i'm prepared to conceded our blunder in letting the boy go, he's going to shine, the likes of Nkosi and Yende had better take notes on what play-making is all about!!!
