Maritzburg United and Free State Stars remain unbeaten in the League after a 1-1 draw at Harry Gwala Stadium on Friday night.
Mario Booysen got the opener in the second half, but Dove Wome equalised five minutes later.
The home side saw most of the ball in the first half, but failed to make their possession count as they lacked the creativity to get behind the solid Free State Stars defence.
Ea Lla Koto fired the first shot in anger in the 18th minute when Paulus Masehe tried to test the goalkeeper from outside the box, but his shot went wide of the upright.
Ernst Middendorp's men continued to knock the ball around and in the 26th minute Terrance Mandaza managed to get a shot off from the centre of the penalty area, but it lacked pace and was comfortably saved by Kennedy Mweene.
Moeketsi Mvula shot wide just before half-time, but the teams went into the break at 0-0.
The away side then threatened to take the lead soon after the break. Masehe fired over the bar in the 46th minute, while Mashego shot wide from the edge of the penalty area two minutes later.
Nevertheless, it was the Team of Choice who opened the scoring when Delron Buckley delivered an inswinging corner for Booysen to head home at the near post.
The celebrations did not last long, however, as the visitors found an equaliser five minutes later when substitute Wome fired a left-footed shot past Shu-Aib Walters from outside the box.
Wome had a similar chance go wide a few minutes later.
Mario Booysen had the final opportunity of the game; his free-kick was on target but did not get past Mweene.
