Siyabonga Nomvete took a big step towards the top-scorer's award as Moroka Swallows beat Golden Arrows 3-2.
Nomvete hat-trick too him to a tally of 16 League goals, and kept Swallows in the title race.
Thanduyise Khuboni and Thamsanqa Gabuza scored for Arrows.
Arrows almost went in front as early at the eight minute, when Collins Mbesuma took a powerful shot at Greg Etafia's goal, but he hit it just wide.
Swallows came back quickly, and took the lead when Nomvete headed home Shere Lekgothoane's cross.
Arrows new assistant coach Shaun Bartlett, who took charge of the side, keeping in cellphone contact with Muhsin Ertugral in the stands, was forced to make an early substitution in the 19th minute, when Russel Mlotshwa came on for the injured Siyabonga Nkosi.
Mlotshwa immediately won a penalty, after being brought down by Swallows skipper Lefa Tsutsulupa. Tsutsulupa's opposite number Khuboni converted to equalise for his team.
At the start of the second half Arrows suffered another injury set-back, with Mbesuma making way for Gabuza.
Gabuza got into the thick of things straight away, putting Arrows ahead from Marc van Heerden's cross.
Nomvete headed home a Joseph Makhanya cross to level the scores again, before getting his third just five minutes later, yet another great header, this time set up by Bongani Twala.
Swallows move to fourth, just two points behind log leaders Mamelodi Sundowns, and still have the trophy within their grasp.
