SuperSport United draw with Moroka Swallows

Posted: 28 March 2012 Time: 21:41

SuperSport United completed their fifth match without scoring after being held to a goalless draw by Moroka Swallows at the Lucas Moripe Stadium.

The game had a quiet start to it with no significant attack until the 12th minute when Jabu Maluleke crossed for Kermit Erasmus, who shot wide to the left.

Maluleke forced a punching save out of Greg Etafia, off a corner, in the 22nd minute, while Eramus was wrongly blown for offside after his header struck the crossbar.

It was a half dominated by the home side, yet their chances were not converted.

Greg Etafia was called into action a minute after the hour-mark when he made a save to deny Maluleke, and that was the closest anyone came to scoring in one of the season’s dullest games.

The result leaves Swallows in third place, four points behind leaders Mamelodi Sundowns.
