Excellent Walaza netted a brace to help Orlando Pirates beat Black Leopards 3-2 in an Absa Premier League match at Thohoyandou Stadium.

Bennett Chenene scored the winner for the Buccaneers, with Walter Ramulondi and Fischer Kondowe scoring for Lidoda Duvha.

Pirates took the lead as early as the sixth minute when slotted from inside the area after receiving a pass from Tlou Segolela.

Leopards struggled with the pace of the Buccaneers and could not muster a clear chance on goal during the first half.

The score remained 1-0 at the break.

The visitors doubled their lead in the 59th minute when Walaza headed home a cross by Innocent Mdledle.

However, the Pirates’ second goal caused Leopards to step up a gear and the hosts equalized in the 67th minute when Ramulondi beat the offside trap to slot.

Lidoda Duvha drew level five minutes later through a Kondowe strike following some slack defending by the Buccaneers.

But Pirates finished the match strong and netted the winner in the 80th minute when Chenene latched onto a Teko Modise pass to score from close range.
