Free State Stars got a last minute equaliser to make it 1-1 against Vasco da Gama on Saturday afternoon.
Dirang Moloi got the opener for Vasco, before Noah Chivuta stole a late goal in injury time.
Vasco ended the match with 10 men after goalscorer Moloi was sent off in the 82nd minute for a second bookable offence.
The Cape side, enjoying most of the early play, nearly opened their account in the 15th minute when Jonathan Armogam played in Sibusiso Zuma, who hit a superb volley from wide out on the left, but the ball rebounded off the right-hand upright with Kennedy Mweene well beaten.
Stars though stuck to their guns, trying their best to work the ball amongst the midfield.
And eventually their industry began to pay off as towards the end of the first half a couple of chances materialised down the right flank.
Madoda Motha sent in a weak effort, but Vasco keeper Posnett Omony was forced into a tougher save from Matome Madimabe’s drive.
But it was Vasco who drew first blood, Botswana international Moloi scoring in the 43rd minute from 12 yards out, following great work from Zuma down the left.
Stars had the first chances of the second half, but both Petrus Mahlatsi and Mpho Makola were unable to beat Omony with efforts from in and around the box.
Vasco though should have gone two, even three nil up, but Jonathan Armogam couldn’t beat Kennedy Mweene from close range and then Bradley August sent a 75th minute volley just wide.
Ea Lla Koto rallied hard late on, but Vasco appeared to be in control at the back.
But a slack clearance deep inside injury time saw Chivuta striking a first-time effort past Omony to ensure a share of the spoils.
