Platinum Stars and SuperSport United draw

SuperSport United were again made to rue the profligacy of their strikers as they were held to a 0-0 draw by Platinum Stars at the Royal Bafokeng Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
United came into this game with a convincing three-goal mid-week win over Moroka Swallows to fight for a spot in the top eight, but Stars were not willing to give away the game that easily.
The closest either team came to a goal was when Bradley Grobler's freekick on 49 minutes hit the upright.
Mduduzi Nyanda should also have done much better with a golden chance presented to him late on, but by far the biggest culprit was Anthony Laffor, who had a day he would rather like to forget.
Dino Visser, the Man of the Match, was very pleased with his debut as he maintained a clean-sheet.
“I have been waiting for this moment for almost my whole soccer career, a draw is not bad after all and I am hoping to maintain the performance I displayed today.”
